Fallen leaves activity with kids: Trampoline
Fallen leaves activity – As suggested by a Handy Father reader, we took to the yard this afternoon, raking up the fallen leaves. This Handy Father then took said leaves and piled them into a tarp and brought them to the trampoline. I unleashed the entire load of leaves onto the trampoline and my three kids spent about an hour playing on a trampoline covered in leaves.
Kids love this activity! Not only do the leaves need raked, but you get a free toy out of the deal.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a trampoline. Feel free to pile the leaves and let the kids jump into the pile. That’s fun too.
Once the kids are done playing on the trampoline with leaves, place the tarp beside it, and use a shop broom or your rake to re-pile them on it. You don’t want 100lbs of leaves on the trampoline if it decides to rain. It’s a terrible mess.
Tools needed for a fun fallen leaves activity:
- Kids – 1 to 3 kids should be enough, although more will flock in to join the fun.
- A nice clog free rake.
- A tarp for collecting the leaves upon.
- 1 Handy Father (or mother) to do the raking.
Items 2 and 3 can be found on Amazon, or your local hardware store, but 1 and 4 cannot be found on a link here! You’re on your own.
